Parisa Shirazi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in skills development and international competition, currently serving as the Director of Standards at WorldSkills UK since 2014. Shirazi has led initiatives to enhance standards in further and higher technical education through international benchmarking and partnerships. Previous roles include Head of Skills Development & International Competition and various leadership positions at IfATE, WorldSkills International, and UK Skills, where valuable contributions were made to national skills competitions and educational standards. Additionally, crucial project management experience was gained while collaborating with multiple stakeholders as Senior Skills Development Manager at the Education and Skills Funding Agency. Educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Design Management from the University of the Arts London and participation in the Women’s Leadership Programme at Whitehall Industry Group.
