Amy Thorndike has extensive work experience in the field of clinical research and operations. Amy currently holds the position of Manager, Clinical Operations Site Management (Franchise Lead) at Worldwide Clinical Trials since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Clinical Trial Manager, Oncology at the same company.
Amy previously worked at Alira Health from 2018 to 2021, where they served as the Director of Clinical Monitoring and Lead Clinical Research Associate. At Clinical Assistance Programs from 2015 to 2018, they were the Lead CRA.
Amy'sexperience also includes roles at Quintiles as a Senior CRA II, Lead CRA from 2013 to 2015, and at Harvard Clinical Research Institute as a Senior CRA, CCRA, Lead CRA on the HCRI DAPT Study from 2009 to 2013.
Amy started their career in clinical research at PPD Inc as a Clinical Research Associate II from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, they worked at Millennium Pharmaceuticals in various roles, including Clinical Research Associate, Clinical Research Coordinator, and Clinical Trial Associate from 2004 to 2008.
Before entering the clinical research field, Amy worked as a Medical Assistant at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates from 2003 to 2004 and as a Fitness Program Manager/NASM Certified Personal Trainer at Town Sports International from 2001 to 2004.
Amy Thorndike holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Anatomy and Physiology from Boston University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science/Dietetics from the University of New Hampshire, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Amy also obtained a certification as a Certified Clinical Research Associate from the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals in 2010.
