Charles Surowiec has over 25 years of experience in supply chain management and operations. Charles is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations at WorldWide Electric Corporation since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Gorbel from November 2020 to May 2023 as the Supply Chain Director, where they were responsible for purchasing, material planning, logistics, and developing strategic supplier relationships. From 2014 to 2020, they served as the Supply Chain Transformation and Strategy Manager, responsible for evaluating and optimizing the global supply chain, as well as developing the yearly Supply Chain Roadmap and the 3 Year Strategy Contract. Charles also served as the Spare Parts Distribution Plant Manager from 2012 to 2014, leading the operations of two warehouses and managing a large inventory. Surowiec achieved Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma in less than 9 months and led multiple cross-functional Lean Six Sigma projects. Prior to these roles, they served as the Manager of Sales and Operations Planning, Plant Manager, Supply Chain Strategy Manager, Supply Chain Program Manager, Manager of Manufacturing Operations, and Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Xerox.
Throughout their career, Surowiec has demonstrated expertise in supply chain strategy, operations management, inventory management, project management, and process improvement. Charles has consistently achieved significant cost savings and operational efficiencies in their roles.
Charles Surowiec completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University at Buffalo, from 1988 to 1992. Charles then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester, from 1993 to 1995. Later, they enrolled in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General.
