Mike Jackson

Mike Jackson has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to the present. Mike currently serves as the Vice President of Member Relations and Operations at Worldwide ERC®, where they support a 16-person staff and manages operations to serve over 5,000 members. Prior to this role, Mike worked as the Chief of Staff at the same company, overseeing technology, human resources, and internal operations.

Before joining Worldwide ERC®, Mike was a Board Member at the National Association for Media Literacy Education in 2020. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) from 2018 to 2021. In these positions, Mike managed employee relations, engagement, and experience as a senior leader within the HR team. Mike also led SHRM's J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa Program and managed the organization's people analytics team and HR technological platforms.

From 2011 to 2018, Mike worked at the Council for Global Immigration (CFGI) as the Manager of Exchange Visitor Programs and Marketing. Before that, they held roles at the Association for International Practical Training, where they were responsible for university relations and managed the IAESTE United States program.

Mike's earlier experience includes working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the USC School of International Relations, where they taught and graded assignments for undergraduate international relations courses. Mike also had a field study position at Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick Public Affairs, where they worked on various accounts, and served as a Communications and Outreach Officer at the Middle East Institute.

Mike Jackson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History at The George Washington University. Their education in this field does not specify start and end years. After that, they pursued a Master of Arts in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California, attending from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their academic degrees, Mike Jackson obtained the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in February 2021.
