Johann Kempe

Johann Kempe has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the publishing industry. Johann served as the CTO at Wort & Bild Verlag since 2018. Prior to that, they were the Geschäftsführer at Curacado GmbH from 2019 to 2021. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Member of the Board of Directors at C.H.Beck. Johann also held positions such as SVB Member at Klopotek & Partner GmbH, Head of Group Technology Services at Macmillan, and Managing Director at devbliss GmbH. Additionally, they were an Advisory Board Member at Skoobe and Chief Information Officer at Holtzbrinck Publishing Group. Johann also served as the Managing Director at Hanseatische Gesellschaft für Verlagswesen (hgv) and as the Managing Director / Member of the Supervisory Board at CircIT GmbH & Co. KG.

Johann Kempe completed their education in two reputable institutions. From 1986 to 1991, they attended the Technical University of Munich, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science and Business Administration. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to attend FORWISS, where they spent five years from 1991 to 1996. During this time, they pursued a research doctorate in Computer Science.
