Ozey K. Horton Jr.

Ozey K. Horton, Jr. is an Independent Advisor and also serves as Director Emeritus of McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm, from which he retired in February 2011.

Prior to that time, Mr. Horton served as a Director in the Atlanta office of McKinsey & Company from 1981 through February 2011. Over the years, Mr. Horton has led numerous corporate growth, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and performance improvement initiatives for global clients across a range of industries – especially in the basic industrials space (such as metals and mining; pulp, paper, and packaging; chemicals; energy). He has also led several practices within McKinsey & Company: as the founder of the global pulp, paper, and packaging practice; co-leader of the global basic materials practice; and most recently as leader of the global operations practice within the energy and materials sector. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Horton had early career stints in manufacturing, corporate development, and project engineering.
