Ryan Spalding

Ryan Spalding has a diverse work experience in various industries. Ryan started their career as a Server at Darden Restaurants in 2007, where they provided a fine dining experience and was part of a team responsible for up-selling. In 2009, they joined Perry Public Schools as an 8th Grade Boys' Basketball Coach, where they provided leadership and instruction to athletes and assisted the Varsity Basketball program.

In 2009, Ryan joined Spalding Insurance Agency as a Producer, where they generated new insurance accounts, managed content marketing, and underwrote commercial and personal lines accounts. Ryan 'scontributions resulted in a 150% increase in online traffic.

In 2013, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at Olivet College, where they assisted the Women's Basketball Program as an Assistant to the Varsity and Head Coach of the Junior Varsity program. Ryan gained experience in coaching techniques, player development, and program management.

Ryan then worked as an Associate Agency Representative at Apogee Insurance Group, A Berkshire Hathaway Company, from 2014 to 2015. Ryan conducted customer visits, focused on product offerings, and strengthened relationships with independent agency partners.

In 2015, Ryan joined Worthy Insurance as the VP of Commercial Insurance. Ryan was responsible for managing insurance needs for healthcare clients, including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Healthcare Agencies, and Hospitals. Ryan provided creative risk management solutions and handled liability, workers' compensation, property, and management liability needs.

In 2016, Ryan became the CEO of Worthy Insurance, a position they held until their departure.

In 2019, they joined Beacon Academy Chicago as the Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach.

In 2020, Ryan co-founded Vero Insurance, a company where they have since served in a leadership role.

Throughout their career, Ryan has demonstrated a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and expertise in insurance, coaching, and customer service.

Ryan Spalding completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Insurance from Olivet College between 2013 and 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing from Baker College of Owosso, which they completed between 2009 and 2012. In addition to their degrees, Ryan has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the Cyber COPE Insurance Certification from Chubb (obtained in March 2023), the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from The Institutes (obtained in February 2021), the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter certification from the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (obtained in May 2017), the Certificate in Medical Professional Liability from the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (obtained in February 2017), the Certified Authority on Workers' Compensation certification from Accident Fund Holdings, Inc. (obtained in February 2016), and the Associate in General Insurance designation from The Institutes (obtained in April 2015).
