Hugh Sherman

Hugh Sherman is a distinguished academic and leader at Ohio University, serving as both President and Professor since May 2021. Prior to this role, Hugh served as Dean of the College of Business and Senior Fellow at the Voinovich School for Leadership & Public Affairs from July 2007 to January 2021, overseeing significant programs and initiatives. Earlier positions at Ohio University include Assistant to the University Provost, Associate Director of the Voinovich School, Associate Dean of Operations and Strategy, Chair of the Management Department, and Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs. Hugh's career also includes entrepreneurial experience as the CEO and Founder of International Footwear and as Vice President of Marketing for the Swatch Watch Group. Academically, Hugh holds a Ph.D. in Strategy & International Business from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, an MBA in Finance from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Political Science from the University of Guelph.
