Human Resources Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project

Ferdinand Alsina, PHR, has extensive work experience in human resources, with a focus on talent acquisition and management. Ferdinand began their career in 1987 as a Machinist Mate in the US Navy and served until 1991. Ferdinand then joined the US Navy again in 1992 and worked as a Recruiter before progressing to roles as a Human Resources Specialist/Manager/Director and Regional Human Resources (HR) Director. In these positions, Ferdinand provided HR oversight, guidance, and training to personnel, analyzed career retention and attrition trends, and managed various HR programs. Ferdinand left the US Navy in 2010 and joined the Wounded Warrior Project, where they worked as a Warriors to Work (W2W) Manager and later as a Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist. In these roles, Ferdinand managed placement services for wounded warriors, built relationships with companies, and oversaw full-cycle recruiting processes. Ferdinand demonstrated flexibility by working on multiple regions, programs, and handling large volumes of requisitions simultaneously.

Ferdinand Alsina, PHR received their Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies from Columbia College, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Ferdinand later obtained the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2018.
