Alborz Alavian

Alborz Alavian started their career in 2011 as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland. In 2012, they transitioned to the role of Research Assistant at the same university, where they worked until 2017. From 2017 to 2019, Alborz worked as an Autonomy Engineer at Uber, before joining Lyft as an Autonomy Engineer in 2019. In 2021, Alborz joined Woven Planet Holdings as a Software Engineer ICM.

Alborz Alavian pursued their education in the field of Electrical Engineering. Alborz first attended Sharif University of Technology from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Afterwards, they went on to pursue further studies at the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2017. At the University of Maryland, Alavian completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, specializing in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Control and Dynamical Systems.
