Jinglin Li

Technical Lead at Woven Planet Holdings

Jinglin Li has extensive experience in the field of robotics research and development. They started their career in 2011 as a Summer Intern at General Motors, where they worked on a research project focused on Dexterous In-hand Manipulation Planning. In 2015, they joined General Motors again as a Researcher, specializing in advanced robotics technologies for manufacturing automation and industry 4.0. During this time, they conducted research on high variety, low volume flexible robotic manufacturing, human-robot collaboration, and productivity optimization. Jinglin Li then transitioned to the role of Senior Researcher at General Motors in 2018 and continued their research until May 2021.

In 2021, Jinglin Li joined Toyota Research Institute as a Senior Research Scientist. They contributed to various research projects until June 2022. Currently, Jinglin Li is a Senior Research Scientist at Woven Planet Holdings, starting in May 2022.

Prior to industry positions, Jinglin Li gained research experience as a Research Assistant at UNC Charlotte from 2010 to 2015. During this time, they focused on designing and implementing autonomous manipulation algorithms for Continuum Manipulators, a type of bio-inspired robotic manipulator with soft and continuously deformable arm segments. This research was supported by the US National Science Foundation Grant.

Overall, Jinglin Li's work experience demonstrates their expertise in robotics research and development, particularly in manufacturing automation, human-robot collaboration, and manipulator design.

Jinglin Li completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Beijing Jiaotong University from 2006 to 2010. Jinglin then pursued further education and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2010 to 2015.
