Kilian Brandt

Kilian Brandt has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kilian currently works as a Data Infrastructure Engineer at Woven by Toyota since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Unit8 as an Engagement Lead and Big Data Software Engineer from 2019 to 2022. In 2021, Kilian worked as a Software Engineer at EPFL, supporting research projects in Computational Imaging. Before that, they were a Consultant and Specialist in Computer Vision at Inivit Systems in 2018 and a Software Engineer at the Innovation Centre for Assistive Technologies (IAT) in 2018. Kilian also worked as a Researcher in Computer Vision at HE-ARC from 2015 to 2018, where they led a sponsored research project in C#.Net. Kilian completed their individual Master research project in Artificial Intelligence at Osaka Prefecture University in 2017-2018, focusing on Manga characters face analysis. Kilian began their career as a Software Engineer at Fondation Suisse pour les Téléthèses (FST) in 2016, where they worked on innovative projects to assist disabled individuals.

Kilian Brandt has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and software engineering. Kilian obtained a Master of Science degree in Information and Communication Technologies with a specialization in Software Engineering from HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale from 2015 to 2018. Prior to their master's degree, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Software Engineering from Haute Ecole Arc - Ingénierie between 2012 and 2015.

Before pursuing higher education, Kilian also obtained a Federal Certificate of Proficiency in Computer Science from CIFOM-ET, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, they completed a Professional Technical Maturity degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the same institution during the same time period.

In terms of additional certifications, Kilian has acquired expertise in various topics related to machine learning and neural networks. Kilian completed courses such as "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera. Kilian obtained these certifications in March and April of 2020.
