Mingang Jin

Mingang Jin has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Mingang recently joined Woven Planet in 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Localization. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at Cyngn as a Senior Software Engineer, where they led the development of localization and mapping modules for autonomous vehicles. In this role, they also developed a state estimation framework and implemented a regression test framework. Mingang also has experience in simulation and numerical software development. Mingang worked at Emerson Automation Solutions from 2014 to 2020, where they held roles as a Senior Simulation Developer and Numerical Software Developer. In these positions, they designed and developed pipeline simulation software and optimized numerical models for simulating Oil & Gas pipeline systems. Before that, they worked at Purdue University as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant from 2010 to 2014, where they conducted research on fast fluid dynamics modeling, improved graphical user interfaces, and evaluated ventilation performance. Mingang also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Tongji University from 2007 to 2010, focusing on environmental impact analysis and research on geothermal systems. Additionally, they had an internship at China Haisum Engineering in 2009 as an Assistant Engineer.

Mingang Jin completed their education in a chronological order. Mingang earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tongji University between the years 2003 and 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university from 2007 to 2010. Lastly, Mingang Jin completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University from 2010 to 2014.
