Rosa Uchima has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Rosa currently works as a Senior User Experience Designer/Strategist at Woven by Toyota, where they focus on the UX and design for the Toyota Woven City project. Rosa is bilingual in Japanese and English.

Before that, Rosa was an Advisor and Design Director at Majo Medicine, an ethical and sustainable skincare company. Rosa was responsible for the overall design strategy, including product development, branding, packaging, web, UX, and e-commerce. Rosa co-founded Majo Medicine and served as a Designer from 2016 to 2018.

Rosa also held the position of Head of Design at Interactio - Multilingual Meetings Solution in 2021, where they led the design team. Rosa briefly worked at Google as a Creative Technologist/Designer for brands and agencies within APAC. In this role, they collaborated with international stakeholders and Japanese clients/agencies to facilitate successful design projects.

Prior to Google, Rosa worked at TBWA\HAKUHODO as a Chief Product Designer for their Quantum Startup Studio. Rosa played a vital role in setting up the innovation team and worked on projects in IoT, AI, and UX. Rosa acted as the point of contact for design within the cross-functional team.

Rosa's experience includes working as a Design Project Manager at Panasonic, managing advanced design projects between Japan and Europe. Rosa also worked as a Product Design Engineer at ETS Design Ltd, where they led the product design department for a bespoke engineering consultancy.

Early in their career, Rosa was a Design Engineer at JTEKT North America Corporation, where they transferred design duties from Japan to Germany and worked on automotive projects for clients such as BMW, Audi, and VW. Rosa also gained design research experience as an intern at Ritsumeikan University.

Overall, Rosa Uchima has a strong background in user experience design, product development, and project management, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and cross-cultural collaborations.

Rosa Uchima completed their education from 2003 to 2008, attending both The Glasgow School of Art and the University of Glasgow. Rosa earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Product Design Engineering from both institutions. Additionally, in September 2015, Rosa obtained a certification called "From Ideas to Action" from IDEO U.
