Susie Opare-Abetia

Susie Opare-Abetia is the Founder and CEO of Wovenmedia. Susie has over 25 years of experience in the media industry, including stints as a vice president, director, consultant, and product manager.

Susie started their career in 1987 as a video engineer with the BBC. After a year with the company, they moved to AVS Broadcast where they worked as a product specialist for four years. In 1993, they became a product manager at Abekas Video Systems and held that position for five years.

In 1998, Susie moved to Virage where they spent four years as the director of product marketing. From 2002 to 2003, they were the senior director of business development at Virage. After a brief period as a consultant with Dooh and New Media Consulting Services, Susie joined Iz-on Media in 2005 as the vice president of product and business development. Susie held that position for three years before leaving to start Wovenmedia in 2009.

Susie Opare-Abetia studied engineering at the Dyson School of Design Engineering and went on to complete a Doctor of Business Administration at the University of Birmingham.
