Tom Thompson

Mr. Thompson has both a broad business background and a formal legal background, with over 30 years of experience in the investment industry, as well as in mergers and acquisitions and operating experience.

Before joining WP Global, Mr. Thompson was a Director with WestAM where he was responsible for international investments, special situations and real estate investments and was a member of WestAM’s executive and investment committees. Prior to WestAM, Mr. Thompson was a Director of the Private Markets Group of Forstmann-Leff International. Previously, he provided investment consulting services to both institutional investors and investment management companies.

Mr. Thompson has direct private equity and real estate investment transaction experience, including workout situations in the United States, Europe and Asia. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for the acquisitions and management of a $1 billion real estate portfolio for the Ameritech pension trust.
