Eddy Alvarez

Eddy Alvarez is a seasoned professional in the broadcast industry, currently serving as Post Production Supervisor at WPLG since June 2006. In this role, Eddy writes, produces, directs, and edits a variety of campaigns aimed at promoting the station in the South Florida market, in addition to editing commercials for local clients. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Promotions Editor at Univision from April 2000 to June 2006, where Eddy edited and produced video content for the network's website and directed live events for worldwide streaming. Earlier, Eddy worked as Operations Coordinator at WSVN CHANNEL 7, managing the daily news shows and coordinating the local entertainment magazine. Eddy holds a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Florida International University and an Associate of Arts in Film/Video and Photographic Arts from Broward College.
