Hugues Thibault

Hugues Thibault has a wealth of experience in finance and administration spanning over several companies. Hugues currently holds the position of Group CFO at WPO, a role they have held since May 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Sr Director of Controlling, North & Central America at Lacoste, where they managed a team of controllers and analysts and played a key role in store openings, lease negotiations, and subsidiary recapitalization.

Before Lacoste, Thibault was the CFO of Lanvin USA, responsible for all aspects of finance in the US, including HR and labor law compliance. Hugues also worked at Hermès, where they held the position of CFO - Latin America, overseeing finance and administration for subsidiaries in the region. Additionally, they served as the FP&A Manager/Financial Controller for Latin America at Hermès, where they supervised closing, reporting, forecasting, and consolidation for the region.

Earlier in their career, Thibault worked as a Financial Analyst at Albéa Group, focusing on sales controlling for worldwide activities. Hugues also served as a Financial Analyst at Atos Origin, where they were in charge of management accounting and controlling for two business units.

Thibault began their career as a Junior Financial Analyst at SAINT GOBAIN Abrasives Europe and Sanofi-Synthelabo OTC. Overall, they bring a diverse set of skills and extensive experience to their current role as Group CFO at WPO.

Hugues Thibault began their education at Prepa HEC - Lycee International de Strasbourg in 2000, where they pursued a Classe Preparatoire HEC degree. During this time, they focused on subjects such as Math, Philosophy, Economic History, and Languages. After completing this program in 2002, they attended Audencia from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained an MSc in Management with a specialization in Finance and Management. Following a break in their education, Hugues enrolled at Université Paris Nanterre in 2017 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, which they completed in 2018. Hugues continued their academic journey at the same university, earning a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Philosophy from 2018 to 2020.
