Dave Emke

Dave Emke is an experienced television news producer currently working at WRAL since August 2022, with prior experience at Spectrum News from December 2017 to August 2022. Throughout their career, Emke has demonstrated expertise in producing live broadcasts, scriptwriting, and coordinating content across multiple markets. Emke previously held roles as Editor at Reston Now, where responsibilities included daily community reporting and content production, and as Editor and Regional Editor at The Journal, managing newsroom staff and ensuring quality coverage. Emke began their career at The Post-Journal in various positions, including Family/Lifestyles Editor and Reporter. Emke holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from State University of New York Cortland and a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing, along with an Associate of Arts in Humanities from Jamestown Community College.
