Lena Tillett

Lena Tillett is an accomplished journalist with significant experience in broadcasting. Currently, as the Weekday Evening Anchor and Host at WRAL since August 2016, Lena co-anchors the 4 and 5:30 p.m. newscasts and previously held positions as a weekday anchor and reporter for the 9 a.m. segment and as the weekday morning anchor and reporter. Prior experience includes anchoring and reporting at WOWT from January 2014 to July 2016 and working as a freelance general assignment reporter for News 12 Networks in 2013. Lena's background also features a freelance video journalism role at Village Health Works in Burundi, various internships at News 12 Networks, ESPN, NBC Connecticut, and WUSA-TV, and a master’s degree in News & Documentary from New York University along with a bachelor’s degree in English and Government from Georgetown University.
