Manish Tiwari has worked in a variety of roles throughout their career. Manish started as a Staff Reporter at a small newspaper in Ajmer, Rajasthan in 1996. In 2006, they were a Consultant for the Leadership Development Program at ActionAid UK. In 2009, they were a Consultant for Misereor. From 2007 to 2011, they were the Head of Research for Devil's Advocate & India Tonight on CNN-IBN and CNBC TV18 where they interacted with senior ministers and leaders, policy makers and diplomats in India and other South Asian countries. In 2011, they were an Asso Sr. Producer at TV Today. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as an Independent Consultant, Project Advisor for the Hanns Seidel Foundation, and Assistant Professor - Media and Cultural Studies at Central University Of Rajasthan. Most recently, they are the Co-Founder of Wranga, a company that helps parents mentor their virtual experiences.

Manish Tiwari has a long and varied educational history. Manish began their studies in 1995, when they earned a Bachelor's Degree in BA Hons Economics from Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer. Manish then went on to earn a Master's Degree in MA Philosophy from the same university in 1998-2000. Following this, they earned a Master's Degree in MA Sociology from Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer in 2000-2002, and a Master's Degree in PGDJMC from Indira Gandhi National Open University in 2000-2001. In 2002-2004, they earned a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Political Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya. Manish then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environment and Political Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2004-2009. In 2010, they earned a DFG Post Doc Guest Lecturer in Political Communication from Universität Siegen. Finally, in 2014, they earned a Water Diplomacy - Program on Negotiation in International Negotiations from Harvard Law School.
