Joanna Wood is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in backend development, microservices, and technical project management. Currently serving as Software Engineer III at Wrapbook since August 2022, Joanna previously held roles at Cover as a Backend Developer and Go Developer, working with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Docker. Earlier experience includes a position as Manufacturing Engineering Technologist at The Estée Lauder Companies, where Joanna managed new product launches, and as Quality Engineering Specialist, focusing on process improvement. Joanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc) in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University and a Diploma of Web Development from Lighthouse Labs. Additional volunteer experience includes supporting events for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and managing academic workshops for the Engineering Society of Queen's University.
