Katie Gates

Katie Gates is a seasoned designer with extensive experience in graphic design and art direction. Currently serving as a Senior Designer at Wray Ward since January 2018, Katie has also maintained a freelance design practice under Katie Gates Design since November 2012. Previous roles include Associate Art Director at Charlotte Magazine and Senior Graphic Designer at the Illinois State Treasurer's Office. Early career contributions were made as a Graphic Designer at MD Designs by Metal Decor and as a Graphic Design Intern at various organizations including The University of Iowa and Charleston Magazine. Katie holds dual degrees in Graphic Design (BFA) and Journalism (BA) from the University of Iowa, completed between 2008 and 2012.
