Otis Sanford

Otis Sanford is a distinguished college professor at The University of Memphis, where Otis holds the chair of excellence in journalism since January 2011. In addition to academic duties, Otis Sanford serves as a political commentator for WREG-TV, providing daily insights on the 4:30 pm newscast and co-hosting the weekly public affairs show, Informed Sources. Otis Sanford is also an established columnist at The Commercial Appeal since September 1994 and previously held the position of Deputy City Editor at the Detroit Free Press from 1992 to 1994. Otis Sanford earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Mississippi and an Associate of Arts in Journalism from Northwest Mississippi Community College.
