Kerry Jenkins is the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Wren Therapeutics. Kerry has over eight years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, working on early stage hit to lead and lead optimization programs in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and neurological disease areas. Kerry has also managed and coordinated external CRO resources.

Before joining Wren Therapeutics, Kerry was a Senior Medicinal Chemist at Takeda for four years. There they were the project lead chemist on a number of early stage hit to lead and lead optimization programs in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and neurological disease areas. Kerry also had line management and mentoring responsibilities, and they managed and coordinated external CRO resources.

Before Takeda, Kerry was a Senior Medicinal Chemist at Domainex for four years. There they led a flagship Wellcome Trust (SDDI) funded program for respiratory allergen covalent binding protease inhibitors in collaboration with St. Georges Hospital, London. Kerry achieved milestones ahead of an aggressive schedule by delivering a potent and selective candidate drug with solid properties suitable for inhaled delivery. Kerry was also the project manager on a non-covalent binding back-up series with an emphasis on broadening I.P. position and de-risking the program. In addition, Kerry was the lead chemist and strategist on an epigenetic enzyme (KMT) target program, using SBDD and CADD informed approaches to guide the program. At Domainex, Kerry also had line management and mentoring responsibilities, and they managed and coordinated external CRO resources.

Kerry Jenkins has a DPhil & MSc in Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry from University of Sussex. Kerry also has a Post Doctoral in Organic Chemistry from University of Bath under Prof. JMJ Williams. Her undergraduate degree is in Chemistry from University of Exeter.
