Roger Mapleson

Roger Mapleson currently serves as the Trading Standards and Licensing Manager at Wrexham County Borough Council since July 2011, overseeing Fair Trading, Metrology, and Licensing functions. Previously, Roger held positions as Consumer & Business Protection Manager and Principal Trading Standards Officer at Warrington Borough Council from March 2002 to May 2011, and as a Trading Standards Officer at Rochdale MBC from 1997 to 1999. Roger possesses specialized expertise in the Enterprise Act 2002 and has taken a proactive role in addressing issues such as illicit tobacco, doorstep crime, underage alcohol sales, and illegal moneylending, while fostering collaborative relationships with law enforcement agencies and HMRC. Roger earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geography from The University of Salford between 1982 and 1985.
