Tanya Chawla

Tanya Chawla is a seasoned professional in planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning, currently serving as a Senior Associate at WRI India since December 2023. With a diverse background, Tanya has held positions such as Senior Program Associate at Pratham Education Foundation and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Associate at Peepul. Previously, Tanya worked as a Consultant at the State Council of Educational Research & Training and as a Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant for Educate Girls. Tanya also led research and development initiatives for The Kachrawala Project, focusing on waste management education. As a Teach For India Fellow, Tanya significantly improved academic performance for hundreds of students and supported families during the Covid-19 pandemic. Additional experience includes roles as a Policy in Action Fellow at Young Leaders for Active Citizenship and as a Research and Strategy Intern at SEWA Bharat. Tanya's early career involved leadership positions at Enactus, where contributions led to increased beneficiary salaries and expanded product offerings. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of Delhi.
