Ulka Kelkar

Ulka Kelkar serves as the Executive Program Director for Climate, Economics, and Finance at WRI India since July 2018, previously holding the position of Director of Climate. Prior experience includes serving as a Climate Assessment Specialist (Consultant) at the Asian Development Bank in 2017 and as a Fellow focusing on Climate Change Mitigation and Development at the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment from 2015 to 2017. Ulka Kelkar also worked as a Fellow in the Centre for Global Environmental Research at The Energy and Resources Institute from 1999 to 2015. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Economics with a specialization in world economy from the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics from Indraprastha College For Women, University of Delhi.
