Eric Philips

Eric Philips is an experienced news professional currently serving as a News Anchor at ABC 8NEWS WRIC since August 2021. Prior to this role, Eric worked as a White House Correspondent and National Security Correspondent for The Christian Broadcasting Network from March 2019 to August 2021. Eric's career also includes time as an Anchor/Reporter at NBC12 - WWBT from November 2015 to December 2018 and as a Weekend Anchor at WSOC-TV Eyewitness News from August 2013 to August 2015. Earlier in their career, Eric reported and filled in as an anchor at WSB-TV from April 2005 to July 2013. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Hampton University, earned between 1990 and 1994.
