Jessica Wetzler

Jessica Wetzler is an experienced media professional currently serving as Executive Producer, News Producer, and Morning Supervising Producer at ABC 8NEWS WRIC, part of Nexstar Media Group, since November 2021. Concurrently, Jessica functions as a Teacher Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University from August 2023. Prior roles include General Assignment Reporter for the Daily News-Record, Sports Editor and Staff Writer for The Commonwealth Times, and various internships with notable organizations like Richmond Magazine and Capital News Service. Jessica boasts a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University and is pursuing a Master's degree in the same field. Jessica has also been an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists.
