Michelle Walters

Michelle Walters is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and community engagement. As the Chief Executive Officer of Island Glow, LLC since June 2006, Michelle has successfully operated a spray tanning business offering organic-based services. In addition, Michelle has played pivotal roles at ABC 8NEWS WRIC - Nexstar Media Group since January 2019, focusing on talent appearance development, and has served as President of the Powhatan Chamber of Commerce and Secretary of the Downtown Farmville Main Street Group since 2021. Michelle's commitment to education is evident through the position of Educational Coordinator for BNI On the Rise since May 2021, and previous experience as an Area Director Consultant at BNI from 2006 to 2012. Earlier career highlights include working as a Flight Attendant for Trans States Airlines from January 2008 to June 2009. Michelle is a graduate of Manchester High School, attending in two different time periods.
