Lee Nordby

Lee Nordby started their work experience as an Apprentice Lineman at the City of New Ulm/New Ulm Public Utilities in 2004. Lee then moved to Minnesota Power in 2005, where they worked as a Lineman until 2014. In 2014, Lee joined Xcel Energy as an Operations Manager and held various roles within the company, including Sr Operations Manager and Director of NSP Electric Control Centers and Trouble Operations. Lee also served as the Director of Contracting and Utility Services for Xcel Energy before leaving in 2021. Currently, Lee is working as the Director of Operations at Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association.

Lee Nordby earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Electric Utility/ Powerline Technology from Minnesota West Community and Technical College from 2002 to 2004. In 2014 to 2015, Nordby attended Bemidji State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2020, Nordby pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association

WH is a member-owned non-profit electric utility that provides electric power to Wright County and the western part of Hennepin County. The cooperative has been a corporate citizen in this area since 1937 and currently serves more than 50,000 electric accounts. The utility started its security division in 1989 that provides local home security solutions as well as monitors alarm systems for more than 50,000 customers in 32 states and three Canadian provinces.
