Kate W. LeSar is the owner of Prana Insurance Agency, Inc. since January 2007 and has been self-employed as a writer and editor since January 1996, with several short story publications and a novel represented by an agent. Previous experience includes serving as Nurse Manager at the University of South Florida from 1990 to 1992, where responsibilities included managing patient care and staff for two inpatient units and developing staff education programs. Kate also worked as Nursing Home Administrator and Consultant at Boston University Medical Center from 1986 to 1989, overseeing the recertification process of nursing homes and reorganizing operations. Academically, Kate holds a Master of Public Health in Public Health Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Baltimore, and is a registered nurse, having graduated from the Riverside School of Nursing.
