Writers in the Schools
Cristina Kindred serves as the Area Director for Young Life since August 2021, following an extensive career in education and youth leadership, including a previous role as Area Director and WyldLife Coordinator with Young Life from April 1997 to August 2012. In addition to this, Cristina has been a writer and artist with Writers in the Schools since March 2017, engaging in private contract writing and commission-based art. Cristina has taught in Alief Independent School District since August 2012, specializing as a teacher and previously from August 1997 to January 2007. Cristina holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in English Language and Literature and another in Education, both from Houston Christian University, earned between 1993 and 1997.
