Tucker McGaw

Tucker McGaw has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as the Director of Oakum Chartered since April 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director of sonaCAD from December 2018. Tucker also worked as the Global Head of Technology & Director at Written Medicine starting in November 2012. Additionally, Tucker had a role as the Creative Director & Editor-in-Chief for ThatMate, a group focused on sexual education for rural Indian children, starting in October 2016.

Furthermore, in 2014, Tucker McGaw joined The Avestagenome Project as a Senior Manager of Technical Operations and later became an Advisory Board member responsible for Technical & Operations. Tucker also held various positions at Avesta Good Earth Foods, including Head of Global Marketing & Virtual CIO, Head of Global Marketing & Information Technology, Head of Marketing and Sales, IT Consulting Manager, and Operations Manager, between 2012 and 2017.

Prior to that, Tucker worked at Avesthagen, where they served as the Virtual CIO & Operations Manager and Consulting Operations & IT Manager. Tucker also held the position of Online Development Manager, overseeing scientific research operations and support.

Additionally, Tucker worked as a Senior Strategy Consultant at Ava Seeds, an innovative biotechnology company, starting in June 2015. Lastly, they served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Intrepid Cycles, a leading manufacturer of adaptive cycles, since February 2018. Tucker also worked as a Strategic Advisor at Ad Documentum, an end-to-end Customer Communications Management solution, from July 2018 to May 2020.

Tucker McGaw completed their high school education at Ocean View High School from 1999 to 2001, earning a High School Diploma with a focus on Business/Corporate Communications. Tucker then pursued further education at Plymouth State University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in IT and Business Administration.

In addition to their formal education, Tucker has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2019, they received a Certificate of Recognition from InterNations. In 2015, they obtained certifications such as Certified Functional Site Owner (FSO), Certification of Completion - Overview of Upstream Business, Conflicts of Interest, Effective Trade Compliance, Group Records Management, Anti-Bribery At Risk, and Safeguarding Information Mandate, all from Shell. Tucker also gained First Aider and Fire Marshal certifications from SOS and St John Ambulance in 2015 and First Aid Level 2 certification from St John Ambulance in 2010.
