Cedric Thomas has extensive work experience in the media industry. Cedric started their career as an Operations Manager at Wtov9 from 1996 to 2000. Cedric then worked as a Local Sales Manager at KDKA-TV from 2000 to 2008, where they led a sales team, set goals, and built relationships with clients and community members. From 2008 to 2011, Cedric served as the Director of Sales at WEWS-TV, leading sales activities and implementing strategies to increase profitability. Cedric then joined WPXI-TV as the Director of Sales from 2011 to 2017, optimizing advertising inventory and developing effective sales programs. Currently, Cedric Thomas holds the position of Vice President and General Manager of WSOC, WAXN, and Telemundo Charlotte since December 2017. In this role, they oversee the day-to-day operations of the stations, manages the staff, develops business strategies, and maintains strong relationships with advertisers and community partners.
Cedric Thomas attended The University of Akron from 1991 to 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communications. In addition to their degree, they obtained the IAB Digital Media Sales Certification from the IAB in June 2016.
