Joe Bruno

Joe Bruno is an experienced investigative reporter with a specialization in government and breaking news, currently working at WSOC-TV since September 2015. Prior to this role, Joe served as a one-man-band reporter at FOX46 Charlotte, covering significant political events such as the Thom Tillis campaign during the 2014 Midterm Election. Joe's leadership experience includes serving as President of the Society of Professional Journalists at Elon and as the inaugural News Director of Elon Local News. Additional roles span from public address announcer for Elon athletics to international reporting at major conferences. Joe holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Elon University, where relevant work began in local news production.
