Melissa Landon

Melissa Landon, PhD, PE, currently serves as the Lead Consultant Geotechnical Engineer at WSP since January 2023, while also being the CEO and Owner of Stationkeep LLC since March 2019. Previously, Landon held roles as Lead Consultant and Senior Project Engineer at Golder from June 2019 to January 2023. An accomplished academic, Landon was an Associate Professor at the University of Maine from 2008 to 2019, focusing on soil-structure interaction, soft soils characterization, and renewable energy projects, including significant research funded by various government agencies. Landon's academic career began as a Postdoctoral Researcher at both the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems at UWA in 2007-2008. Landon holds a PhD and MS in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Lafayette College.
