Phil Mixter

Phil Mixter has been a Professor at Washington State University since August 1995, focusing on science education with a specialization in microbiology and immunology, teaching both in-person and online. Additionally, Phil serves as the Assistant Director for Alumni Relations at the School of Molecular Biosciences within Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. From 2014 to August 2020, Phil held the position of Editor for the Reviews Section of the Journal of Microbiology and Biology Education (ASM). Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology and Immunology from UCLA and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University.
