Ryan Oliveira serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, focusing on anatomic pathology with responsibilities that include necropsy and biopsy services, as well as aquatic pathology. With prior experience as an Associate Pathologist at the Wildlife Conservation Society, Ryan managed a diverse caseload of over 12,000 animals from multiple zoos and aquaria, and contributed to diagnostic services and resident education. Earlier experience as an Anatomic Pathology Resident and Ph.D. student at Washington State University complemented Ryan's veterinary education, which includes a DVM from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and a BS in Biopsychology from Tufts University. Special interests encompass zoo and wildlife species, fish, birds, amphibians, and reproductive pathology.
