Patrick McCaslin

Patrick McCaslin is an experienced freelance writer and intern with a strong focus on political issues and investigative journalism. Currently contributing to Miami New Times and WSVN-TV 7News, Patrick has previously served as Business Manager, News Reporter, News Editor, and Assistant News Editor at The Miami Hurricane, where significant achievements include breaking news stories and receiving multiple national awards for reporting excellence. Additionally, Patrick has written for Impact.Edition on education reform and social justice topics and has a background in tutoring, helping students improve standardized test scores. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Mathematics, Political Science, and Computer Science at the University of Miami, Patrick's education builds on a foundation established at Springfield Township High School with a focus on Political Science and Government.
