Jim Chen

Jim Chen has extensive work experience in various roles related to software development and data management. Jim is currently serving as the Director of Data Management & Development Operations at W&T Offshore. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at P97 Networks, where they designed and implemented database and middleware systems for gas stations under Azure Cloud environment.

Before joining P97 Networks, Jim worked as a Senior Full Stack Developer at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where they designed and implemented database/web applications for external companies. Jim also worked as a Senior .NET Developer at EP Energy, responsible for developing and supporting enterprise applications utilizing C#, ASP.NET, and Azure.

Jim's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Application & Database Developer at Vanguard Natural Resources LLC, Database/Web Admin Manager at an Engineering Company, and Manager Technology at United Airlines. Jim began their career as a Senior IT Specialist at Continental Airlines.

Throughout their career, Jim has gained expertise in various technologies including .NET, Azure, SQL Server, ASP.NET Core, and web APIs. Their responsibilities have included database design and administration, application design, development, and support.

Jim Chen received a Master's degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University from 1997 to 1999.
