Erin Boynton

Orthopaedic medical advisor WTA tour

Erin Boynton is an accomplished orthopaedic medical advisor for the WTA Tour since January 2023 and has a distinguished career as an orthopaedic surgeon from August 1993 to August 2006, being the first woman to serve as a team physician in the NHL, MLB, and CFL. At Mount Sinai Hospital, Erin specialized in sports medicine and shoulder surgery and led the research committee for the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation. Additionally, Erin is the president of Erin Boynton Medicine Professional and is set to release the book "Stay in the Game," focusing on pain management and musculoskeletal injuries. As a member of the Medical and Clinical Advisory Boards for TriggerPoint Performance Therapy since March 2017, Erin aids in research and product development while having co-authored over thirty academic papers and contributed to global lectures. Erin's education includes a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery from UCLA and multiple degrees from the University of Toronto and McMaster University.
