Ashton Hackman

Ashton Hackman is a multi-skilled journalist currently working at WTHR-TV since March 2025. Hackman previously served as the News Director, News Reporter, and Anchor for Indiana University Student Television from August 2021 to May 2025, and held various roles including Assistant Executive Director, Director of Programming, Producer, and Co-Host for the program "What's Up Weekly." Additionally, Hackman gained practical experience through internships at WTHR-TV, Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism, IU NewsNet, and 21Alive WPTA, focusing on investigative reporting, data analysis, and audience engagement. Hackman is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism at Indiana University Bloomington, expected to graduate in May 2025.
