Matthew Oro is an experienced production professional with a strong background in broadcast and mass communication. Currently serving as a Production Assistant for Gotham (FOX) since October 2016, Matthew has played a key role in supporting costume design and on-set logistics. At WTOP-10 TV, Matthew has honed skills as a Camera Operator, gaining valuable experience in live sports broadcasts. As a Videographer with Varsity Media Group, Matthew has demonstrated effective communication and collaboration in high-pressure environments, along with expertise in camera equipment and lighting setups. Previous roles include Technical Director for Varsity Media and Utility at ESPN College Sports, where Matthew gained freelance broadcast experience. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Oswego and an Associate’s Degree from Suffolk County Community College.

WTOP-TV 10

WTOP-10 TV is a student-run closed circuit television station located on the SUNY Oswego campus in central New York. The station is on-air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with both student produced shows and professionally produced movies. Five nights a week, WTOP broadcasts a 30 minute news program at 10:00pm that can be seen locally on channel 10 and across the north-central region of NY on Time Warner access channel 96. WTOP is also proud to broadcast every men's and women's hockey game played at home. In the past year, WTOP has made leaps and bounds with our sports broadcasts—they can be seen on channels 10 & 96, and 1027, as well as on the web at athletics.oswego.edu/video.
