Angel Idowu is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in journalism and digital communications. Currently serving as the Vice President of Digital/Social Media for the National Association of Black Journalists Chicago chapter since May 2021, Angel oversees a social media team and curates a monthly newsletter. As an Arts Correspondent for WTTW/Chicago PBS since July 2019, Angel explores the city's arts and culture. Previous roles include Reporter/TV News Producer at WJTV 12, Digital Correspondent for Pretoria News, and various positions focused on content creation and reporting at outlets such as Medill News Service, Wochit, and Law Street Media. Angel's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Beloit College.
