Barbara Allen is an accomplished producer, editor, and engineer at WTTW-TV and the founder and executive director of Middle Passage Productions, Inc., a successful independent production company established in June 1992. Under Barbara Allen's leadership, Middle Passage Productions has gained international acclaim, receiving several Emmy nominations and two Emmy wins, with films showcased at prestigious events including the Cannes Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival. Additionally, Barbara Allen was a Knight Fellow in Journalism at Stanford University during the 2012-13 academic year, collaborating with Jeremy Bailenson in the Virtual Human Interaction Lab.
