Tom Siegel

Director Of Photography Of "check Please" at WTTW

Tom Siegel has extensive work experience in the field of video production. Tom served as the Director of Photography for "Check Please," a popular restaurant review series on PBS. Tom was responsible for all food and restaurant videography. In addition, they worked as an Editor, Director, Photographer, and Field Producer for various documentary projects, entertainment series, and special projects both locally and nationally. Tom has received several awards, including four Regional Emmys and two Peter Lisagor Awards for Journalism. Tom also founded their own production company, Siegelfilms LLC, where they served as a Producer and Director.

Tom Siegel attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1972 to 1976, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in School Comm Arts with a major in Theatre Education and a minor in Television & Film. In 1978, they completed a Fellowship in Cinematography and Film/Video Production at Northwestern University.
