Mehmet Emrah Selli has been working in the scientific field since 2010. Mehmet Emrah began their career as an MSc Student at the University of Surrey, followed by a PhD Student at the Bristol Heart Institute from 2012 to 2016. Afterward, they became an Instructor at Usak University in 2016. In 2019, they accepted a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine. In 2020, they were promoted to Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist at Wugen.

Mehmet Emrah Selli obtained a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Istanbul Technical University between 2002 and 2007. Mehmet Emrah then went on to complete a Master's degree in Medical Microbiology at the University of Surrey between 2010 and 2012. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from the University of Bristol between 2012 and 2016. In addition, they obtained a Data Science Boot Camp certification from Northwestern University School of Professional Studies in February 2019.
