Daniël van den Elshout has a diverse work experience in the retail industry. Their most recent position is as a Space Manager at Wundermart, a role they started in July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Lekkerland Nederland B.V. for six years, where they held the position of Space Manager & Category Management Analyst. In this role, they gained experience in wholesale, specifically in the petrol/retail sector, and was responsible for reporting and analysis.

Daniël's earliest work experience was at Media Markt, where they started as a Floormanager in September 2006 and worked until April 2011. In this role, they supported the department manager, led sales strategies, managed inventory and assortment, and oversaw staff schedules and training.

Throughout their career, Daniël has developed skills in consumer electronics, retail management, sales, data analysis, and customer service. Daniël has expertise in space planning software programs such as JDA and has experience in managing product assortments and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.

Daniël van den Elshout began their education at Cambreur College, where they completed their high school studies from 1994 to 2000. Following this, they attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology from 2000 to 2001. Afterwards, they pursued further education at Leiden University, where they obtained a Master's Degree in the same field of study from 2002 to 2008.
